Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors
- Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Support property-level financial analysis and reporting for acquisitions and dispositions
- Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy and performance metrics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior accounting role
- Prior experience in commercial real estate or property management is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks) and Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
