About the Opportunity
A well-established and internationally connected wealth management firm is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its Zurich-based team. This is a broad, hands-on role offering significant exposure across the full client lifecycle and direct interaction with senior stakeholders.
The successful individual will play a key role in maintaining and strengthening the firm's compliance framework while working closely with both the business and clients. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to regulatory, risk, and governance initiatives within a highly regarded private wealth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client onboarding processes, due diligence reviews, and ongoing KYC remediation activities
- Monitor transactions and investigate potential AML concerns
- Develop, update, and implement compliance policies and procedures
- Provide day-to-day regulatory guidance to management and employees
- Deliver training on AML, conduct risk, cross-border regulations, and other compliance-related topics
- Support regulatory projects and compliance initiatives
- Perform controls within the internal control framework and contribute to risk management enhancements
- Assist with data protection and information governance activities
- Ensure adherence to relevant financial services regulations and industry standards
Requirements
- 3-5 years of compliance experience gained within a wealth management, private banking, or financial services environment
- Strong understanding of AML, KYC, client due diligence, and regulatory compliance
- Knowledge of Swiss financial services regulations and cross-border compliance requirements
- Ability to analyse client documentation and transactional data
- Degree qualified in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline
- Fluent English communication skills
- Additional language skills would be considered advantageous
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and stakeholder management capabilities
