Overview
A leading investment firm is seeking a Systematic Portfolio Manager to build and run systematic equities strategies focused on EM and Gulf equities. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Quant Researcher or Quant Trader looking to step into a PM seat, run meaningful capital from day one, and architect a strategy from scratch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build systematic equity strategies focused on EM/Gulf markets.
- Conduct alpha research, signal development, and model design.
- Develop research pipelines, data workflows, and supporting infrastructure.
- Run backtesting, stress testing, and portfolio construction analysis.
- Take ownership of the strategy, run allocated capital, and refine models.
- Execute trades systematically and oversee risk and performance attribution.
- Partner with internal teams and leadership to enhance research, execution, and scaling.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in systematic equities, either as a Quant Researcher, Quant Trader or Portfolio Manager.
- Strong background in systematic alpha generation, signal research, or portfolio construction.
- Proficiency in Python (or similar), with experience developing research or trading tools.
- Ability to design and build new research frameworks and systems in a greenfield setting.
- Understanding of EM/Gulf equities is beneficial, but any equities background is acceptable.
- Ambition to run capital and build a systematic business line from the ground up.
- Willingness to relocate to Oman.
