Sr. Product Manager
We are currently working on an exclsuive opportunity for a top client of ours who is seeking a Product Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis, development, and delivery of new products, as well as enhancements to existing products. This role ensures corporate compliance with state insurance department regulations and oversees product filings, documentation, and regulatory standards. This role partners closely with Actuarial, Claims, Compliance, Business Line Directors, Field Operations, and Technology teams to ensure accurate marketplace delivery of products and effective communication of technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate new product opportunities for assigned lines of business.
- Develop forms, rates, underwriting guidelines, reference manuals, and marketing materials for new programs.
- Review and implement changes to rates, forms, marketing assets, and underwriting guidelines for existing programs.
- Assess system processing requirements and provide detailed guidance on enhancements or the launch of new programs.
- Create and deliver training programs for new hires, existing employees, and agents, including instructional materials and schedules.
- Provide guidance on underwriting referrals
- Potentially supervise Product Specialist or Product Analyst staff members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of underwriting practices, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Extensive understanding of policies, coverage, and rating procedures for assigned lines of business.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of delivering effective training to individuals or groups.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply complex technical articles and legal documents to underwriting policies and procedures.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, insurance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible product management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Professional designations such as CPCU preferred.
