Sr Med Econ Analyst
A fast‑growing national healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Economics Analyst II to join its analytics team. This role focuses on converting complex healthcare data into insights that inform key business decisions and support value‑based care initiatives. The ideal candidate enjoys working with large datasets, building analytical models, and creating clear, actionable reporting for both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain data accuracy and quality across all reporting processes
- Build and document reporting workflows, reconciliation methods, and analytical procedures
- Conduct experience studies, cost/utilization trend analysis, and sensitivity modeling
- Use SQL (and/or SAS) to write queries that uncover cost drivers and utilization patterns
- Produce dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau or similar platforms
- Perform data mining, research, and ad‑hoc analysis for various stakeholders
- Automate recurring reports and help enhance analytics infrastructure and data capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-2 years of analytics or actuarial‑related experience
- Strong SQL skills (including joins, temp tables, etc.)
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, databases, and general business applications
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
- Experience presenting findings and supporting leadership with data‑driven insights
