About the Role
A major financial services organisation is urgently seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer to join a project approaching critical delivery deadlines. The ideal candidate will be autonomous, able to start immediately, and capable of contributing effectively with minimal oversight.
You will be responsible for developing and optimising .NET-based microservices and APIs, ensuring high performance and reliability across distributed systems. Experience with Kafka and Cassandra is highly desirable due to the project's architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimise .NET microservices and APIs with a strong focus on performance.
- Apply best practices for system tuning, scaling, and debugging.
- Work within an event‑driven architecture involving Kafka and distributed data storage using Cassandra.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, ensuring clear communication and knowledge-sharing.
- Take ownership of deliverables and contribute to meeting tight project deadlines.
- Integrate quickly into the existing environment with minimal supervision.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience with .NET / .NET Core development.
- Strong background in microservices architecture and API engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in performance optimisation across distributed systems.
- Experience with Kafka and Cassandra is strongly preferred.
- Autonomous, proactive working style with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Sociable and communicative - must be comfortable collaborating with colleagues.
