The Opportunity
On behalf of our client, a well‑established Swiss bank with a strong presence in Valais, we are seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to join their wealth management team in Sion.
This is an excellent opportunity for a client‑focused wealth professional to take ownership of a discretionary and advisory client portfolio, while contributing to the bank's continued growth in the region.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing long‑term relationships with HNW and UHNW private clients, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor. Additionally, there is a succession need with the potential for clients to inherit.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of private clients in Valais and wider Switzerland
- Acquiring new clients through personal network, referrals, and structured business development activity
- Delivering comprehensive wealth management solutions, including investment advisory, discretionary mandates, structured solutions, and lending
- Understanding clients' personal, family, and business objectives to provide tailored advice
- Working closely with internal investment, portfolio management, credit, and structuring teams
- Ensuring full adherence to Swiss regulatory, compliance, and risk requirements (FINMA, AML, KYC)
- Representing the bank professionally within the local market and community
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience as a Relationship Manager / Private Banker / Client Advisor within Swiss wealth management
- Established client network in Valais and/or broader Swiss domestic or cross‑border markets
- Strong understanding of investment products, discretionary and advisory mandates
- Solid knowledge of Swiss banking regulations and compliance standards
- Commercially minded with a strong client service ethos
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Fluent French is essential; English required; German is advantageous
- Swiss work authorisation or eligibility to work in Switzerland
