A rapidly expanding organisation is building a new energy trading arm and is looking to hire entrepreneurial quant traders to help drive its market presence and trading performance.
You will be joining at an early stage, with the opportunity to directly influence strategy development, trading decisions, and market positioning.
🚀 The Role
As a Quant Trader, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and executing trading strategies, while also building your own models and tools.
This is a front-office role, blending trading expertise with strong analytical and programming skills.
🛠️ Responsibilities
- Develop and execute quantitative trading strategies
- Build and maintain pricing and forecasting models
- Analyse market data to identify trading opportunities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve tooling and infrastructure
- Continuously optimise performance and risk management
👤 Requirements
- Strong background in trading, quantitative finance, or economics
- Hands-on experience in developing and executing trading strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills:
- Python (for modelling, analytics, and strategy development)
Nice to Have:
- Experience in energy markets
- Exposure to automated or algorithmic trading
