Quant Trader - Crypto Market Making
Overview
A leading global trading firm is seeking a Quant Trader to join its Crypto Market Making team. The role focuses on designing, running, and optimising systematic liquidity‑provision strategies across global crypto venues. The emphasis is on market microstructure, execution, and real‑time risk management.
Responsibilities
- Run and continuously enhance systematic market‑making strategies across crypto spot and derivatives markets
- Manage real‑time risk and inventory in highly volatile crypto environments, including cross‑venue and cross‑product hedging
- Optimise pricing, quoting, and execution logic to capture spreads while minimising adverse selection
- Analyse crypto‑specific market microstructure, liquidity conditions, and venue‑level fee and rebate structures
- Monitor markets and adapt strategies in response to regime changes, volatility spikes, and market dislocations
- Work closely with quant researchers and engineers to refine models, tools, and production systems
- Contribute to ongoing strategy development through post‑trade analysis and live‑market feedback
Requirements
- Strong background in probability, statistics, and quantitative finance
- Demonstrated experience trading or market making in crypto markets, including spot and/or derivatives
- Experience in market making, systematic trading, or high‑frequency trading within crypto environments
- Strong intuition for risk management in fast‑moving, highly volatile markets
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++
- Ability to make disciplined decisions in real‑time trading environments
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a highly collaborative, performance‑driven team
Nice to Have
- Experience with crypto perpetuals and/or options
- Deep understanding of exchange microstructure, latency considerations, and order‑book dynamics
- Experience working with large‑scale, low‑latency trading systems
