A high‑growth, venture‑backed technology company in the sports & prediction space is expanding its core engineering and quantitative team. The product has seen rapid traction, strong user engagement, and continued investment support. The team is small, ambitious, and moving quickly, and they are looking to bring on key hires who will work directly with the founders on major product and infrastructure decisions.
Role Overview
The team is open to candidates from quantitative development, software engineering, or quantitative trading/research backgrounds who enjoy building systems end‑to‑end and want ownership over both product and technical direction. This hire will:
- Design and implement systems from the ground up, including architecture, production rollout, and monitoring
- Work across multiple layers of the stack or core research/infra depending on your background
- Drive product direction alongside the founding team, contributing to roadmap, prioritization, and technical decisions
- Build performance‑sensitive components and data pipelines used in real‑time environments
- Help establish engineering standards and shape early culture
Ideal Background
- Strong academic foundation in computer science, math, engineering, or a quantitative field
- Experience in software engineering, quantitative development, or building low‑latency/performance‑critical systems
- Proficiency in one or more of: TypeScript, React, SQL, Python, C++, Rust, or similar production languages
- Experience with or interest in mobile or front‑end technologies is additive, not required
- Hands‑on development or quantitative experience
- Thrives in small, fast‑moving teams where you own meaningful pieces of the product
- Interest in real‑time systems, prediction/forecasting, market dynamics, or sports‑related models is a plus
