Senior Quant Developer
About the Role
A leading international investment firm is seeking a Senior Quant Developer to join its front‑office technology and research engineering team. The group builds and maintains an internal research and data platform that supports the firm's quantitative investment strategies. This platform enables researchers, data scientists, and portfolio managers to turn new ideas into production‑ready investment signals and analytics.
The team plays a central role in the firm's data‑driven culture, continuously enhancing platform capabilities, integrating new technologies, onboarding emerging data sources, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The broader vision is to eliminate friction in the development and deployment of data‑intensive solutions - from unified data access to advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI applications.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Quant Developer, you will be responsible for enhancing and expanding the firm's research and data platform. Your work will include:
- Partnering closely with quantitative researchers to enable new data sources, analytics tools, and investment strategies.
- Building proprietary, high‑performance technologies that improve efficiency, scalability, and platform robustness.
- Deploying quantitative models and signals using high‑performance computing infrastructure.
- Processing and integrating a wide range of structured and unstructured datasets.
- Designing and implementing GenAI/LLM‑powered solutions to accelerate research, automate reporting, and support decision‑making across the investment domain.
This position is well‑suited to someone who enjoys working directly with researchers, values technical innovation, and thrives in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environment.
What We're Looking For
- An academic background in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics).
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, PySpark, Rust, C#).
- At least 6 years of experience in the investment or asset‑management industry; prior experience as a quant developer or in an AI‑focused technical role is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with modern data ecosystems and cloud technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure).
- Genuine enthusiasm for applying advanced technologies, including generative AI, to real‑world investment challenges.
- Already living in and eligible to work within the European Union.
