Location: NYC (hybrid)
Salary: $125k - $175k + bonus
Summary:
We are currently partnered with a leading Quant Hedge Fund looking to add a detail- oriented Operations Associate to their team to support the post-trade lifecycle. In this role, the individual will ensure daily trading activity is processed, recorded, and reported accurately. We focus on fast trade matching (T0), next-day (T+1) position and P&L reconciliation, and timely handling of post-trade events like options and asset servicing. We work closely with brokers, custodians, and administrators to quickly resolve any data discrepancies.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Perform trade and position reconciliations across multiple asset classes and counterparties
- Manage T+0 trade matching, settlements, and exception handling
- Oversee cash, admin transactions, and corporate action events (both mandatory and voluntary)
- Define and implement operational risk controls and incident resolution processes
- Analyze and improve operational workflows to support straight-through processing
- Collaborate with technology teams to automate and enhance operational systems
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:
- 5+ years of operations experience in investment management, fund administration, or banking
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or economics
- Strong knowledge of the full trade lifecycle and post-trade processes across equities and macro asset classes
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Proficient in Excel; experience with Tableau and Alteryx is a plus
- Skilled at working with data-compiling datasets, spotting trends, and identifying anomalies
