Nordic Credit Sales - Vice President
An international investment bank with a leading European credit franchise is seeking an experienced Credit Sales person to join its Paris-based team, with a dedicated focus on Nordic institutional clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established platform with strong flow capabilities across credit markets, offering direct exposure to key accounts across the Nordic region.
Role Overview
As a VP in Credit Sales, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with Nordic institutional investors, delivering tailored credit solutions and driving revenue across primarily Investment Grade (IG) products, but also across various other credit products.
You will work closely with trading, research, and syndicate teams to originate ideas, execute trades, and provide high-quality market insight to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Nordic institutional clients (asset managers, pension funds, insurers, hedge funds)
- Drive revenue generation across Investment Grade Credit, with flexibility across broader credit products where appropriate
- Deliver value-added market colour, trade ideas, and execution services
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including trading desks, research analysts, and DCM teams
- Identify opportunities to broaden client penetration and grow wallet share
- Contribute to the overall growth of the Nordic client franchise
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in Credit Sales, with exposure to Nordic clients
- Existing relationships with Nordic institutional investors or strong cultural/language affinity with the region
- Fluency in a Nordic language (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, or Finnish) is highly desirable, though not essential if offset by a strong client network
- Demonstrated commercial mindset with a track record of revenue generation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment
