Join a leading P&C insurance firm as they strengthen their investment accounting team. We're looking for a Manager of Investment Accounting who will oversee the accurate reporting and analysis of this investment portfolio, ensuring compliance and delivering insights that drive strategic decisions.
What You'll Do:
- Manage the accounting and reporting for a diverse investment portfolio, including fixed income, equities, and alternative assets.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of statutory and GAAP financial statements related to investments.
- Partner with treasury, finance, and external managers to reconcile data, validate valuations, and support capital planning.
- Lead process improvements and system enhancements to streamline reporting and strengthen internal controls.
- Provide detailed analysis and commentary for senior leadership and regulatory filings, while mentoring junior team members.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of investment accounting principles (GAAP and statutory) and experience with insurance company portfolios.
- Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools; ability to leverage technology for efficiency.
