Senior Associate - Investment Banking (M&A)

We are advising a leading Bulge Bracket Investment Bank on the hire of an Associate to join its Investment Banking platform in Amsterdam. This is an opportunity to step into a highly active, M&A-driven franchise offering genuine transaction velocity, complex deal exposure, and best-in-class training.

This is a large, global investment banking franchise with a strong M&A orientation and consistent activity across upper mid-cap, and large-cap transactions. The team benefits from deep resources, experienced senior leadership, and exposure to sophisticated advisory work typically associated with major US banks and top-tier international advisory platforms.
The environment is execution-focused and well suited to individuals who are motivated, resilient, and energized by working on live mandates. Senior Associates are expected to operate at pace and take meaningful ownership across deal execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day execution across M&A transactions, including financial analysis, valuation, modeling, and preparation of client materials
- Coordinate workstreams across internal teams and external advisors
- Support senior bankers in managing transaction timelines and deliverables
- Play an active role in mentoring junior team members
- Contribute to a high-performance culture built around hard work, collaboration, and excellence
Ideal Background
- Experience gained within a large M&A-heavy investment banking platform, including Bulge Brackets or leading international advisory firms
- Strong, consistent transaction exposure with meaningful deal responsibility
- Training received in an environment known for high standards, technical rigor, and franchise strength
- Experience from platforms such as major global banks or top international houses is particularly relevant
- Benelux client coverage experience is not required
