Investment Banking Analyst- Financial Sponsors Group
Key Responsibilities
- Execute M&A, leveraged buyout, financing, and strategic advisory transactions for private equity clients and portfolio companies.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO, DCF, merger, accretion/dilution, and operating models.
- Conduct financial analysis, valuation work, and industry research to support live transactions and business development initiatives.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, marketing documents, and transaction-related analyses.
- Participate in due diligence processes and coordinate with clients, senior bankers, legal counsel, and other advisors.
- Monitor market trends, transaction activity, and investment themes within the private equity landscape.
- Work closely with associates, vice presidents, and managing directors on a lean deal team structure.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of investment banking experience, ideally from a M&A, Financial Sponsors, Leveraged Finance, Industry Coverage, or related product group.
- Recently promoted Analyst 2 or Analyst 3 required
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex M&A and capital markets transactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
