Position: Investment Analyst - Venture Capital (InsurTech Focus)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)
A global venture capital firm with offices in Los Angeles is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its lean and dynamic team. The firm is focused on investing in transformative technologies within the insurance industry and is currently on their Fund III. The team leads Series A investments with typical check sizes ranging from $7-10 million.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end investment process, including sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, and deal execution.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify high-potential InsurTech startups.
- Assist in preparing investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with a small, high-performing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or a startup/tech-focused role.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Passion for technology, innovation, and the future of insurance.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit.
