A well-established and highly respected property & casualty insurer is seeking a Product Development & Compliance Specialist to join its Product team. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the development, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of insurance products across multiple lines of business.
The ideal candidate will combine strong insurance regulatory knowledge with product development experience and the ability to collaborate across underwriting, actuarial, and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor regulatory and legislative developments and assess potential impacts on insurance products and filings.
- Draft, revise, and maintain policy forms, endorsements, rules, and related documentation to ensure compliance and support product enhancements.
- Coordinate and manage state filing activities, including preparation, submission, and maintenance of rate, rule, and form filings.
- Partner closely with actuarial, underwriting, and operations teams to support product updates and pricing initiatives.
- Assist with implementation efforts, testing activities, and quality reviews related to new or revised products.
- Serve as a resource on product compliance matters and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and product offerings.
- Support strategic initiatives aimed at expanding or enhancing insurance products.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience.
- Experience with insurance product development, regulatory compliance, or form/rate filing activities.
- Strong understanding of state insurance regulations and filing requirements.
- Ability to analyze regulatory language and translate requirements into clear business and product solutions.
- Experience working with both personal and/or commercial lines insurance products.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using SERFF and other regulatory filing platforms.
- Professional insurance designations such as CPCU, ARM, or similar.
- Experience supporting product rollouts, implementation testing, or compliance audits.
