Our client:

An organization in the technology and network‑security sector that supports public and private entities in safeguarding modern communication systems. The company develops protective solutions for several types of network environments and is expanding its security function. To strengthen its internal team, it is seeking an Information Security Officer to join its Berlin location.

Position: Information Security Officer (all genders)

Location: Berlin (hybrid)

Estimated Salary: 70.000€-85.000€* base

Languages: German and English (C1+)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and coordinate internal and external audits and certification-related tasks within information security.
  • Plan and carry out activities related to information‑security awareness and training across the organization.
  • Develop and update policies, procedural documents, and security‑related guidance.
  • Maintain and enhance the organization's security management system in alignment with established standards (ISO 27001).
  • Coordinate and assist with incident handling within the organization.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure certification and regulatory requirements are implemented effectively.
  • Conduct risk evaluations and define suitable measures together with relevant departments.
  • Plan and execute continuity‑related exercises and support the organization's preparedness efforts (Business Continuity Management Framework).
  • Contribute to the implementation of legal and regulatory obligations in cooperation with internal experts (BSI, NIS2).

Profile Requirements:

  • The right to work and live in Germany without visa support
  • Fluency in German and English (C1+)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under time pressure.
  • Completed vocational or academic background suitable for business‑oriented or administrative functions.
  • Very strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Interest in information security and high comfort with IT topics.
  • Analytical mindset with sound judgment and structured working habits.
  • Independent and proactive working style combined with strong interpersonal engagement.
  • Open, communicative, and service‑oriented approach.
