About the Role
A leading global independent investment bank is seeking to hire an Analyst and/or Associate to join its Healthcare M&A advisory practice in New York City. The team advises a broad range of healthcare clients across healthcare services, healthcare technology, life sciences, medical devices, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical sectors.
The ideal candidate will bring prior investment banking or transaction advisory experience, strong execution capabilities, and a desire to work in a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. Analysts and Associates play a central role in transaction execution, financial analysis, and client support while working closely with senior bankers on both domestic and cross-border transactions.
This role offers the opportunity to gain significant responsibility, direct client exposure, and experience across a diverse range of healthcare M&A and strategic advisory assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day execution of buy-side, sell-side, and capital raising transactions.
- Build and maintain complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials.
- Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, CIMs, management presentations, and pitch books.
- Conduct industry, company, and market research across healthcare sub-sectors.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and liaise with clients, investors, legal advisors, and other transaction participants.
- Work closely with senior bankers to manage transaction timelines and deliverables.
- Support business development initiatives, including preparation of pitches and client meeting materials.
- Collaborate with colleagues across domestic and international offices on cross-border mandates.

Qualifications / Requirements
Analyst
- 1-3 years of investment banking or relevant transaction experience.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Experience supporting M&A transaction execution preferred.
- Excellent academic credentials and strong attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Associate
- 3-5 years of investment banking, transaction advisory, or corporate development experience.
- Prior M&A execution experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation capabilities with the ability to manage work streams independently.
- Strong client-facing skills and experience interacting with senior management teams.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and oversee junior team members.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- FINRA licenses (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
