German Sales Director, Asset Management
A leading asset manager with deep expertise across global fixed income strategies is seeking a senior fundraising professional to drive growth across Germany. This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial hire, suited to someone who feels they have reached a ceiling in their current seat and is motivated by the opportunity to build and ultimately lead a market.
The role will focus on originating and developing relationships with institutional and wholesale investors across Germany, with the immediate objective of raising capital across a well-established fixed income platform . Over time, the successful individual will be expected to broaden coverage across the wider DACH region and play a key role in shaping the firm's regional strategy.
Beyond day-to-day fundraising, this is a build-out mandate. The firm is looking for someone who brings both strong execution capability and a longer-term, strategic mindset. Someone who can establish a local presence, develop brand recognition, and ultimately step into a Country Head position as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead capital raising efforts across Germany, targeting institutional investors, private banks, and wealth platforms
- Develop and manage long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted partner and representative of the firm
- Drive new business origination while maintaining and growing existing accounts
- Contribute to the regional growth strategy, with potential to expand coverage into DACH
- Work closely with investment and product teams to position fixed income strategies effectively with investors
Candidate Profile:
- Proven track record in raising assets and managing investor relationships within Germany
- Strong understanding of the German investor landscape across institutional and/or wholesale channels
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a desire to build and grow a regional business
- Likely mid-to-senior level professional with the ambition to step into a leadership role over time
- Highly driven, commercial, and comfortable operating in a relatively lean, growth-oriented environment
