Executive Director | Leveraged Finance Distribution & Syndication | London:
An established international banking platform is looking to appoint an Executive Director to join its Leveraged Finance Distribution & Syndication team in London. This is a senior front-office role offering responsibility across the origination, structuring, underwriting and distribution of leveraged finance transactions across EMEA. The successful candidate will play a leading role in managing investor relationships, driving syndication strategies and working closely with leveraged finance, sponsor coverage, debt capital markets and risk teams on a broad range of high-profile transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the distribution and syndication of leveraged loans, acquisition financings and sponsor-backed transactions.
- Develop and execute syndication strategies across institutional investors, banks, direct lenders and alternative capital providers.
- Manage bookbuilding processes and investor engagement throughout transaction execution.
- Maintain and expand relationships with private credit funds, CLO managers, asset managers, banks and other institutional investors.
- Work closely with originators and sponsors to optimise financing structures and market execution.
- Provide market intelligence, pricing guidance and investor feedback to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support underwriting decisions and contribute to risk assessment discussions.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience within Leveraged Finance Syndication, Distribution, Loan Capital Markets or Acquisition Finance.
- Strong relationships across the European leveraged loan investor community.
- Proven execution experience on syndicated leveraged loan transactions.
- Deep understanding of sponsor-backed financing structures, underwriting and distribution dynamics.
- Strong commercial judgement and client-facing skills.
- Experience leading transaction workstreams and managing complex stakeholder groups.
