Equity Research Sales Director / Senior VP, Pan-European Equities
Overview
We are supporting the expansion of a leading European equities franchise seeking an experienced Equity Research Sales professional to help grow its institutional client footprint across Europe. This is a senior hire within an established platform, offering the opportunity to work closely with highly regarded research teams covering small and mid-cap companies across key European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors including long-only asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, and family offices.
- Distribute and commercialise the firm's European equity research product across existing and prospective clients.
- Work closely with research analysts to promote investment ideas, corporate access opportunities, and thematic research.
- Drive revenues through effective client engagement and idea generation.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the European equities franchise.
- Coordinate with sales, trading, research, and corporate access teams to deliver a best-in-class client experience.
- Provide market intelligence and client feedback to research management and analysts.
- Represent the platform at conferences, roadshows, investor meetings, and corporate events.
Candidate Requirements
- 10+ years of experience within Equity Research Sales.
- Strong network of institutional investors across Europe.
- Demonstrated track record of monetising equity research products and generating client revenues.
- Strong understanding of European equity markets, particularly small and mid-cap companies.
- Excellent relationship management and business development skills.
- Ability to communicate complex investment ideas in a clear and commercial manner.
- Experience working closely with research analysts and senior investment professionals.
- Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and capable of operating within a growing platform.
Preferred Background
- Existing relationships with European long-only and alternative investment clients.
- Knowledge of DACH and/or Southern European markets would be advantageous.
- Experience selling fundamental equity research across multiple sectors.
- Familiarity with institutional investor workflows and research consumption trends.
