Director, Residential Securitized Products Structuring
Location: New York, NY
A leading global investment bank is seeking a Director to join its Residential Securitized Products Structuring team. The role will focus on the structuring and execution of residential mortgage securitizations and related financing transactions across non-Agency mortgage products.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structuring and execution of public and private-label RMBS transactions across Non-QM, Prime Jumbo, DSCR, RTL, and residential whole loan collateral.
- Develop cash flow models, collateral analyses, and tranche structures to support securitization issuance and secondary market opportunities.
- Partner with Residential Mortgage Trading, Syndicate, Sales, and Origination teams on transaction execution, relative value analysis, and investor positioning.
- Interface directly with mortgage originators, aggregators, servicers, rating agencies, legal counsel, trustees, and institutional investors.
- Analyze collateral characteristics including prepayment behavior, default assumptions, loss severity, and credit enhancement requirements.
- Manage the rating agency process and oversee transaction documentation through pricing and closing.
- Structure warehouse, forward flow, and other residential credit financing transactions as needed.
- Contribute to new product development and strategic initiatives across the Residential Credit platform.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience structuring residential mortgage securitizations within an investment bank, issuer, or mortgage finance platform.
- Direct execution experience across multiple RMBS asset classes, including Non-QM, Prime Jumbo, DSCR, RTL, and CRT transactions.
- Strong understanding of bond cash flow modeling, collateral analytics, credit enhancement design, and securitization legal structures.
- Extensive experience engaging with Kroll, Morningstar DBRS, Fitch, Moody's, and/or S&P on residential securitization transactions.
- Familiarity with 144A and Reg S securitization issuance processes.
- Demonstrated track record leading transactions from collateral selection through pricing and settlement.
- Advanced proficiency in Intex, Bloomberg, Excel/VBA, and residential mortgage cash flow analysis.
- Existing relationships across issuers, investors, rating agencies, and market participants preferred.
