Credit data analyst
My client is seeking a Credit Data Analyst to support their Business Technology & Analytics team in New York on a 6 month contract (ASAP start).
The role is focused on portfolio monitoring, financial data input, and data quality stewardship for private credit investments.
The analyst will work closely with investment professionals, investor reporting, and data teams to ensure accurate financial data, validate key terms, and support day‑to‑day credit monitoring processes. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with financial statements and Excel are essential. The environment is fast‑paced, collaborative, and requires someone who is proactive, detail‑obsessed, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
Onsite requirement: 3 days per week minimum.
MUST‑HAVES
- Hands‑on experience with financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement)
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, MATCH, IF statements)
- Excellent attention to detail accurate data entry and documentation for audit/compliance
- Ability to multitask across several live projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
(Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) - Accounting or finance background strongly preferred
