Corporate Development - Industrials M&A
Overview:
We are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Corporate Development leader to drive the Bank's inorganic growth initiatives from our New York office. This role is pivotal in identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisitions of financial services and banking businesses that align with our long-term vision. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with executive leadership to shape and implement M&A strategy, while also contributing to broader corporate finance and strategic planning efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle of M&A transactions, including sourcing, due diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation, and post-merger integration
- Build and manage a pipeline of acquisition targets across the financial services and banking sectors
- Develop financial models and perform valuation analyses to assess strategic fit and deal economics
- Prepare and present investment memos and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Board
- Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors (legal, accounting, consulting) to ensure smooth transaction execution
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments to guide strategic decisions
- Support corporate finance and strategic planning initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or a related field, with a focus on financial services M&A
- Demonstrated success in executing complex transactions end-to-end
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
