Associate Actuary, Asset Projection
A leading insurance organization is seeking an Associate Actuary to join its Asset Projection team. This group is responsible for scenario generation and asset projections supporting both product lines and enterprise-level reporting. The role offers strong visibility, hands-on technical work, and exposure to key monthly and quarterly processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver monthly and quarterly asset projections and economic scenarios within reporting cycles
- Support scenario generation and asset projection work using ESG and Moody's AXIS platforms
- Research, test, validate, and implement improvements to asset and scenario models
- Partner with stakeholders to manage timelines, deliverables, and communication
- Perform ad hoc analyses to support business and corporate initiatives
- Ensure all work aligns with actuarial and model governance standards
- Contribute to broader product line and enterprise initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- ASA designation required
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in actuarial and/or asset-focused roles
- Strong experience with actuarial asset projections
- Hands-on experience with GGY AXIS (including Datalink preferred)
- Exposure to Life, Annuity, and/or Long-Term Care products
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Clear, effective communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have:
- Programming experience (Python, VBA, SQL, or MATLAB)
- Cash flow testing or reporting experience
- Model conversion or enhancement experience
