ABS Front Office Desk Quant | NYC
A top credit hedge fund in NY with $10 billion in AUM is currently seeking an ABS Quant Strategist. You will have the chance to work closely with the ABS Portfolio Managers and the rest of the investment team, developing quantitative models, data processing, aiding in decision-making, and supporting the desk's trading activities on a daily basis.
Job responsibilities include:
- Work to support Traders/ ABS Portfolio Managers to build quantitative models, tools, analytics, and dashboards for identifying new opportunities
- Develop desktop applications using data science and machine learning techniques
- Analyze large data sets to create and implement new strategies and conduct data processing
Job requirements include:
- A Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field [Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, etc.]
- 2-6 years of Front Office experience supporting an ABS desk/ABS products
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with Intex
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across various teams within an organization
