Staff Accountant
Must live in the Denver area, no relo offered
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and post monthly financial adjustments, including revenue and expense estimates and deferred income.
- Review financial statements and account balances for accuracy.
- Manage select invoicing tasks on a recurring basis.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain documentation for financial records.
- Provide requested data to auditors during reviews and annual audits.
- Assist with quarterly and annual regulatory filings.
- Stay informed on accounting regulations and standards.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners.
- Maintain consistent attendance and performance standards.
- Be available for work outside traditional hours when needed.
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of the role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in accounting.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Oil and Gas Experience REQUIRED***

Skills & Attributes:
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- May need to lift items up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to respond to work needs during and outside regular hours.
- Employment contingent on passing background checks and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of prior accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Oracle or similar financial systems.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance.
- Exposure to oil and gas industry financials.
