Job Opportunity: Service Reliability Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL
Salary Range: $140,000-$176,000 + Benefits
Type: Full-Time | On-Call Rotation | Hybrid Global Collaboration

I am seeking a Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a global operations team supporting ultra-low latency infrastructure. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-performance environments and enjoys solving complex networking challenges. You'll work closely with teams across Chicago, Paris, and Tokyo to ensure real-time network reliability and performance. If you're passionate about mission-critical systems and global collaboration, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and respond to real-time network alerts and performance metrics across global infrastructure.
* Triage incidents and coordinate with field engineers and the NOC for rapid resolution.
* Implement and maintain multicast routing protocols (PIM-ASM, IGMP) and BGP configurations.
* Execute scheduled network changes and maintain operational documentation and inventory.
* Support provisioning and delivery of circuits and cross-connects.
* Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent performance and end-to-end visibility.

Qualifications:
* 5+ years in network operations, engineering, or infrastructure support.
* Strong knowledge of Ethernet, IP routing, VLANs, multicast, BGP, and STP.
* Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana, NetBox).
* Proficiency in Linux environments and excellent troubleshooting skills.
* CCNA certification or equivalent.
