Senior Reinsurance Accountant - Insurance
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate excess of loss and quota share cessions, including premium adjustments.
- Prepare/review monthly journal entries and support SOX compliance.
- Work with Reinsurance Collections on settlements and cash application.
- Research and respond to reinsurer inquiries; support CFO and FP&A on program questions.
- Review Schedule F Part 3 for recoverables, payables, and funds held balances.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Accounting (CPA preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in reinsurance accounting.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial statements.
- Familiarity with reinsurance operations and controls.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills; able to thrive in dynamic environments.
