Recoveries Manager (m/f/d)
An ambitious and growing financial services business is seeking an experienced recoveries leader to establish and develop its German recoveries operation. This is a unique opportunity to build a function, influence strategy, and play a key role in the continued growth of a well-funded and entrepreneurial organisation.
The successful individual will take ownership of recoveries strategy across complex and late-stage cases, while building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvement through data-led decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the German recoveries function.
- Design and implement recoveries and collections strategies.
- Manage complex arrears, litigation and insolvency cases.
- Oversee relationships with external legal and recovery partners.
- Develop reporting frameworks, performance metrics and operational controls.
- Work closely with risk, compliance, legal and finance stakeholders.
- Ensure all activities align with relevant German regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Significant experience within recoveries, collections, restructuring or debt management.
- Previous leadership experience with responsibility for team development and performance.
- Strong understanding of German insolvency, litigation and debt recovery processes.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and deliver commercial outcomes.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capabilities.
- Fluency in German and English.
