About the Role
A leading domestic quant fund is looking to hire a Quantitative Trader based in Shanghai.
This role is focused on live trading, execution optimization, and PnL delivery, working closely with the research team to ensure strategies are efficiently implemented and monetized in production.
Key Responsibilities
Live Trading & Execution
- Execute systematic strategies across A-shares, futures, and related instruments
- Manage orders and monitor intraday trading performance in real time
Execution Optimization
- Analyze and reduce trading costs, including slippage and market impact
- Continuously improve execution logic to enhance PnL conversion
Strategy Implementation
- Work closely with Quant Researchers to translate signals into executable trading strategies
- Provide feedback from live trading to support strategy iteration
China Market Focus
- Maintain a strong understanding of A-share market structure and trading rules (T+1, price limits, liquidity dynamics)
- React to market changes and anomalies in a timely manner
Risk Management
- Monitor positions and exposures to ensure compliance with risk limits
- Respond quickly to market volatility and manage trading risks
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree or above in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
Experience
- 1-5 years of experience in quantitative trading, execution trading, or proprietary trading
- Hands-on experience trading A-shares or futures is strongly preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python (C++ is a plus)
- Ability to handle basic data analysis and implement trading logic
Market Knowledge
- Solid understanding of China market microstructure and trading mechanics
- Familiarity with systematic strategies (e.g., arbitrage, CTA, market making, index rebalancing)
Language
- Fluent in Mandarin (required); working proficiency in English preferred
Personal Attributes
- Detail-oriented with strong discipline in live trading environments
- Quick decision-making ability and high sensitivity to PnL
