Quant Developer - Options Trading | NYC
A leading systematic hedge fund is looking to hire a Quantitative Developer to join its Equities & Options Volatility team. This is a front-office role focused on building and enhancing trading infrastructure that supports options market making and volatility strategies.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with traders and researchers on live trading systems, with direct impact on PnL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and enhance components for live trading systems and simulation frameworks for equity derivatives portfolios
- Improve and automate core research infrastructure, including risk models and backtesting tools
- Maintain and optimize the trading platform
- Identify inefficiencies across the platform and implement robust, scalable solutions
- Troubleshoot any production issues
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM field [Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.]
- Strong programming experience in Python, C++ nice to have
- Prior experience supporting options trading or market making desks (sell-side or buy-side)
- Familiarity with equity derivatives and volatility products
- Strong development background and ability to work with large datasets
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with traders and researchers
