Investment Banking VP - Healthcare ECM
A leading middle‑market investment bank with a strong Healthcare franchise is seeking a Vice President I to join its Healthcare Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in New York. This is an opportunity to play a senior execution role within a highly active platform covering public and private healthcare companies across subsectors including biotech, pharma, healthcare services, and medical technology.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key execution lead on healthcare equity transactions, including IPOs, follow‑ons, block trades, private placements, and at‑the‑market offerings
- Drive day‑to‑day deal execution, coordinating with senior bankers, issuers, syndicate, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders
- Oversee financial analysis, valuation, and marketing materials, including equity offering documents, investor presentations, and board‑level materials
- Manage and mentor analysts and associates; review models, analyses, and presentation materials for quality and accuracy
- Maintain strong knowledge of equity markets, healthcare sector trends, and investor sentiment to advise clients effectively
- Contribute to client coverage efforts and support senior bankers in developing and maintaining long‑term client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus
- 5-7 years of relevant investment banking experience, with direct exposure to Healthcare ECM strongly preferred
- Proven track record of executing equity transactions for healthcare issuers
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and capital markets expertise
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple live transactions simultaneously
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or ability to obtain promptly)
