Investment Banking Analyst - Industrials
Overview
A growing boutique middle-market investment bank is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Analyst to join its team. This role offers significant exposure to a wide range of corporate finance transactions and the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across live transactions and ongoing business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
The Analyst will work closely with senior bankers and transaction teams on a variety of advisory assignments, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, divestitures, valuation engagements, ownership transitions, and financial analyses. Responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining complex financial models and valuation analyses
- Preparing pitch books, confidential information presentations, and other client-facing materials
- Conducting industry, market, and company research
- Analyzing financial and operational data to support transaction execution and strategic recommendations
- Assisting with the preparation of management presentations and marketing materials
- Maintaining internal databases and supporting business development initiatives
- Collaborating with team members across all phases of corporate finance and M&A engagements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Completion of accounting and/or finance coursework
- 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, private equity, or a related field
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with advanced Excel proficiency
- Understanding of M&A transactions, valuation methodologies, and private equity concepts
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to take initiative and contribute across multiple projects
Compensation
Target compensation for this position is approximately $125,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, skill set, and overall fit for the role.
