An asset manager in Boston is seeking an Internal Wholesaler/Relationship Associate to support business development and client engagement efforts across the North American intermediary channel. This individual will work closely with regional team members to cultivate relationships with RIAs, independent advisors, and other professional buyers. The role combines strategic outreach, relationship management, and operational support, offering exposure to investment strategies and client-facing activities. Ideal candidates are organized, proactive, and passionate about investment management and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing outreach campaigns and identifying actionable leads using CRM tools and industry databases.
- Support client retention efforts by coordinating review meetings and responding to inbound requests.
- Maintain and expand prospect lists, build targeted distribution lists, and assist with personalized email outreach.
- Own meeting logistics including scheduling, prep materials, and follow-ups; research prospects and competitors to enhance meeting quality.
- Document meeting notes and translate insights into CRM tags and follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams across marketing, operations, and investment groups to ensure smooth delivery of client materials and communications.
- Contribute to planning and execution of investor events and virtual campaigns.
Key Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in investment management or financial services.
- Strong understanding of investment strategies including fixed income, equity, and alternatives.
- Proficiency in Excel, CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), and other Microsoft tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree required; Series 7, 63, and 3 to be completed within one year.
