A Swiss-based, independent investment manager is seeking a highly entrepreneurial and client-focused professional to join its business development team in Zurich. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven individual to gain front-row access to the firm's most strategic and high-profile clients.
Role Overview:
The client is looking for a sales and relationship management professional to help deepen and expand its institutional client base. The role offers significant exposure to key accounts and decision-makers, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a lean, high-impact environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for both new business development and the ongoing management of existing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for some of the firm's largest and most sophisticated clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across institutional and professional investor segments.
- Represent the firm's flagship strategies and communicate their value proposition clearly and effectively.
- Collaborate closely with investment, research, and operations teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Attend industry events and client meetings to enhance visibility and build long-term relationships.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 7+ years of experience in asset management sales, client relationship management, or institutional business development.
- Strong understanding of systematic or alternative investment strategies is preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-starting approach to client engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with sophisticated investors.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Based in Zurich or willing to relocate.
