Position Overview
The Fund Controller will oversee accounting, reporting, and operational functions for multiple investment vehicles and related entities. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information while partnering with internal stakeholders and external service providers. The position offers significant exposure to fund operations, investor reporting, compliance, and transaction activity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for investment funds and related entities.
- Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party providers.
- Review underlying investment or portfolio financial results and prepare management reporting packages.
- Coordinate audit, tax, compliance, and investor reporting processes.
- Maintain fund performance schedules, fee calculations, and supporting documentation.
- Support transaction activity, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and other strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience within public accounting, investment management, or a related environment.
- Strong understanding of investment fund accounting, financial reporting, and GAAP.
- Experience working with complex legal entity structures and investment vehicles.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems and reporting tools.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
