Overview
We are working with a Top Tier global quantitative trading firm seeking an Equity Research Analyst to work closely with senior analysts and traders to identify investment opportunities in the equity and options markets. You will provide real‑time perspectives on breaking news, analyse upcoming volatility events, and identify opportunities overlooked by the broader market. Embedded within a sector‑focused trading desk, your analysis will directly influence trading decisions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyse upcoming volatility events
- Provide real‑time opinions on breaking news
- Forecast dividends and evaluate special situations (e.g., M&A, corporate actions)
- Collaborate with derivative traders on investment ideas
- Travel to company events and conferences as required
- Perform stock valuation analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree minimum
- 3+ years' experience in financial markets; CFA progress advantageous
- Strong written, analytical, and financial research skills
- Demonstrated interest in macroeconomics and political events
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑moving environment
- Familiarity with trading environments and derivative products preferred
- Self‑starter with strong communication skills and resourcefulness
- Willingness to work flexible and extended hours when needed
