Our client, a world-leading alternative investment hedge fund, is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join their high-performing Equity Pod in London. You will be building and optimizing the data backbone that powers cutting-edge trading strategies. From designing and maintaining automated ETL pipelines to creating RESTful APIs and contributing to the core data architecture, you'll ensure seamless data flow across the platform. You'll also implement data quality checks to guarantee accuracy and reliability, enabling researchers and technologists to make smarter, faster decisions. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated ETL pipelines to accelerate dataset onboarding and manage the full data pipeline lifecycle.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs to support data access and integration.
- Contribute to the architecture and development of the data framework.
- Build data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and coverage.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years' experience as a Data Engineer, ideally from Big Tech or finance.
- Advanced Python skills, including pandas and Linux proficiency.
- Experience with and knowledge of SQL,
- Experience with ETL pipelines and data lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to start within 3 months (notice and non-compete).
