Asia Index Volatility Trader
We are currently representing a Global Hedge Fund Platform who are seeking an experienced Asia Index Volatility Trader to join its Singapore‑based team.
The successful candidate will focus on trading Asian index volatility across listed and OTC markets, contributing to a globally integrated volatility and derivatives franchise.
Responsibilities:
- Trade Asia index volatility products across major markets including Japan, Korea, Greater China and broader APAC indices
- Manage an independent volatility book with clear risk limits and full P&L responsibility
- Develop and execute volatility strategies across relative value, macro/event‑driven, curve, surface, and cross‑regional opportunities
- Trade listed options and OTC structures, with a focus on efficient risk‑adjusted returns
- Actively manage correlation risk, and tail exposures
Qualifications:
- Strong track record trading index volatility, ideally with meaningful Asia exposure
- Deep understanding of options pricing, volatility dynamics, term structure, skew, and correlation
- Demonstrated ability to generate consistent P&L within defined risk constraints
- Experience navigating different volatility regimes, including stressed markets
- Strong quantitative and analytical skillset; ability to independently price and risk volatility strategies
- Prior experience within a hedge fund, prop trading firm, or institutional derivatives platform preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative related discipline; advanced degree a plus.
