Vice President, Credit Portfolio Risk Reporting & Oversight
A leading global financial institution is seeking a Vice President to lead Credit Portfolio Risk Reporting & Governance initiatives within its Wholesale Credit Risk organization. This individual will be responsible for developing and delivering executive-level reporting, portfolio risk analyses, and governance materials for senior management, risk committees, and regulatory stakeholders.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of credit risk, portfolio analytics, executive communication, and risk governance, partnering with senior leaders across Risk, Finance, Data & Analytics, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and production of executive-level credit risk reporting and presentations for senior leadership and governance committees.
- Analyze portfolio performance, credit concentrations, emerging risks, and key risk metrics to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Translate complex quantitative and qualitative risk information into concise, decision-oriented narratives.
- Develop impactful presentations, dashboards, and visualizations for executive audiences.
- Manage recurring governance deliverables and support ad hoc reporting requests, regulatory inquiries, and thematic portfolio reviews.
- Partner with credit officers, risk managers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, relevant, and insightful.
- Drive continuous improvement of risk reporting processes, frameworks, and communication standards.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to broader risk management initiatives.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience within banking, financial services, or risk management.
- Strong understanding of commercial lending, credit risk management, and portfolio risk analytics.
- Experience preparing executive, board, committee, or regulatory reporting materials.
- Knowledge of credit lifecycle management, risk rating methodologies, governance frameworks, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear business and risk implications.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel capabilities; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related discipline required.
- CFA, FRM, MBA, or other advanced credentials are a plus.
