Job Description
- Provide technical support for the firm's ETF trading software each morning
- Verify that all data pipelines and pricing information are accurate and ready for trading
- Collaborate closely with traders to resolve real-time operational issues using data insights
- Develop and enhance automation workflows, scripts, and operational procedures
- Work directly with Software Engineers to optimise system uptime and develop new tools
Responsibilities
- utilise Python, SQL, and in-house software to validate and verify data accuracy before markets open
- Support and troubleshoot ETF pricing and trading systems during live trading hours
- Analyse operational workflows and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
- Develop new tools and workflows in collaboration with traders and developers
- Be available for on-site support between 6:00am and 3:00pm, Monday to Friday
Essential Skills
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of two years' experience with Python, Pandas, and object-oriented programming
- At least two years' experience with SQL; PostgreSQL preferred but other standard SQL variants acceptable
- Basic working knowledge of Bash and experience working within a Linux environment
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and excellent communication skills
