Position Overview

The Tax Manager will play a key role in leading client engagements, reviewing complex tax returns, providing strategic tax planning and consulting services, and mentoring developing professionals. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with business owners and leadership teams while contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

Role Responsibilities

  • Review complex tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individual clients while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Provide proactive tax planning, consulting, and tax-saving strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Mentor and develop tax staff and senior accountants, supporting their technical and professional growth.
  • Manage engagement planning, staffing, budgeting, and overall project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while developing a deep understanding of client industries and business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and cultivate referral relationships with external professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation (MST) preferred.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • 5+ years of public accounting tax experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of partnership, corporate, and individual taxation.
  • Demonstrated client-service mindset with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements, mentor team members, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
