A leading global investment management firm, established in the late 1970s, is seeking a Settlements Analyst to join its operations team. The firm manages over $65 billion in assets across multi-asset, equity, fixed income, and alternative strategies, serving institutional and private clients worldwide. Position Overview
The Settlements Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the settlement process for equity, fixed income, and foreign exchange transactions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely and accurate trade execution, mitigating settlement risk, and supporting the firm's operational infrastructure. The position provides excellent exposure to the full investment process and opportunities to work with internal investment, operations, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor trade settlements for equity, fixed income, and derivatives.
  • Maintain accurate broker and custodian settlement instructions.
  • Understand various global market settlement cycles.
  • Review, sign, and store OTC derivative confirmations.
  • Collaborate with brokers, custodians, and internal teams to resolve settlement issues.
  • Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc operational projects.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 1-3 years of relevant industry experience in trade operations or settlements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth understanding of trade lifecycles and settlement processes.
  • High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet market deadlines.
  • Familiarity with SWIFT messaging; experience with Aladdin, TradeNeXus, and Alert is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $62,000-$72,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
  • Eligible for discretionary annual bonus.
