My client, a prominent player in the specialty insurance space, is looking to hire a Senior Director of Sales and Distribution to lead broker engagement strategy and drive business development across key markets. This role is ideal for a senior insurance professional with a strong command of broker networks, a strategic mindset, and a track record of delivering growth through collaborative partnerships.

Role Overview:

This position will be responsible for shaping and executing a regional distribution strategy that aligns with underwriting goals and product priorities. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between the organization and its broker partners, ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality opportunities and fostering long-term, profitable relationships.

Key Areas of Focus:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and national brokers, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact
  • Lead strategic planning sessions and capability briefings to align broker needs with company offerings
  • Coordinate with underwriting, product, and executive teams to ensure cohesive market engagement
  • Leverage CRM tools to track broker activity, manage pipelines, and monitor performance
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and expanding the company's footprint within key accounts
  • Analyze portfolio trends and broker performance to inform strategy and optimize results
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to support campaigns, feedback initiatives, and value proposition development

What You Bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Risk Management, or Finance
  • Extensive experience in commercial or specialty insurance, with a focus on underwriting, distribution, or business development
  • Deep familiarity with broker networks and a strong understanding of the insurance sales cycle
  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and manage complex relationships across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed organization is a plus
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate insights into action
  • Knowledge of multinational programs and MGA/MGU distribution models is advantageous
