Senior Desk Top Support
Our client, a leading hedge fund, is looking for a Senior Desktop Engineer to deliver high‑quality global end‑user support, enhance a mission‑critical desktop environment, and drive operational excellence across a fast‑paced, technology‑driven organisation.
This role will focus on three high‑impact areas:
* Ensuring seamless end‑user support across global offices, remote setups, and executive teams
* Managing and optimising core desktop, VDI, and collaboration technologies
* Enhancing system reliability, processes, and user experience in a high‑performance trading environment
The optimal candidate will be an energetic self‑starter with a diverse technical background and a passion for continuous learning.
They will also demonstrate:
* Exceptional problem‑solving ability and strong communication across technical and non‑technical users
* A process‑driven mindset with meticulous attention to detail
* The ability to work independently while multitasking in a high‑pressure environment
Key Responsibilities
* Provide global end‑user, desktop, and executive support across on‑site and remote teams
* Support Office 365 applications, Windows 10/11, and key desktop infrastructure
* Manage Active Directory, Exchange Online, and VDI/virtual desktop platforms
* Troubleshoot market data applications, VPN/VDI connectivity, and basic network issues
* Oversee device inventory, asset management, and support onboarding/offboarding processes
Requirements
* 5-10 years of end‑user support experience within the financial industry
* Outstanding customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication
* Expertise supporting remote users, mobile devices, and modern desktop infrastructure
* Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and collaboration tools
* Knowledge of scripting/automation (PowerShell) or packaging tools is highly advantageous
