Senior Credit Risk Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Credit Risk Manager to lead credit risk oversight and analysis for clients across the technology sector. This role requires deep domain knowledge in semiconductors, digital infrastructure, or software, combined with strong decision‑making capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across both commercial and risk functions.
The ideal candidate brings extensive wholesale credit experience, whether gained on the front office commercial side or within second‑line risk functions, as well as a strong understanding of the credit landscape in the digital infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end credit risk assessment for technology sector clients, with a focus on complex and high‑value transactions.
- Evaluate creditworthiness using qualitative and quantitative analysis, including financial modelling, sector benchmarking, and scenario analysis.
- Provide clear, well‑supported credit recommendations and exercise strong judgement in high‑stakes decision‑making.
- Collaborate closely with commercial teams, relationship managers, risk committees, and senior management to align risk appetite with business objectives.
- Monitor evolving market dynamics across semiconductors, digital infrastructure, and software to proactively identify emerging risks and portfolio impacts.
- Oversee the development, refinement, and implementation of credit policies, processes, and risk frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, regulatory standards, and regional financial guidelines.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Required Experience & Skills
- 8+ years of experience in credit risk management, preferably within wholesale or corporate banking environments.
- Proven expertise in the technology sector, ideally in semiconductors, digital infrastructure, or software.
- Strong decision‑making skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear recommendations.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills, with a track record of partnering effectively across commercial and risk teams.
- Solid background in wholesale credit, gained either from the commercial underwriting side or from a risk oversight function.
- Experience working with clients, portfolios, or transactions in Northwestern Europe, with familiarity of regional market dynamics.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
