About the Role:
A leading consulting firm is seeking a seasoned professional to join its Health & Benefits practice as a Senior Consultant. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in Taft-Hartley plans and public sector benefits, who thrives in a client-facing, strategic advisory capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to multi-employer (Taft-Hartley) and public sector clients on health and welfare benefit strategies.
- Lead complex client engagements, including plan design, vendor selection, compliance, and cost management.
- Analyze claims data, funding arrangements, and plan performance to develop actionable insights.
- Collaborate with actuaries, legal advisors, and internal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to boards of trustees, union representatives, and public agency leadership.
- Stay current on regulatory developments affecting multi-employer and public sector plans (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, PEPRA).
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in employee benefits consulting, with a strong focus on Taft-Hartley and/or public sector plans.
- Deep understanding of collective bargaining environments and trust fund governance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and deliver high-impact results.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree required
